Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At GlucoMate, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how our blood sugar tracking application handles your personal health information. The short version: We don't collect, store, or share any of your data.

Information We Don't Collect

GlucoMate is designed with privacy at its core. Here's what we DON'T do:

Data Storage

Local Storage Only

All your health information is stored in a local database on your device using SQLite. This includes:

• Blood glucose readings and measurements
• Timestamps of when readings were taken
• Meal timing notes (Pre-Meal, Post-Meal, etc.)
• Personal notes you add to readings
• Generated PDF reports

You Control Your Data

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• You can delete any reading at any time
• Uninstalling the app removes all your data
• Your data is only accessible through the GlucoMate app on your device
• No one else can access your health information through our app

App Permissions

GlucoMate requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality:

📲 Notifications

We request permission to send local notifications to remind you to log your glucose readings. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and don't send any information externally.

💾 Storage

We need storage permission to save your glucose readings in the local database and to generate PDF reports on your device.

📤 File Sharing

When you choose to export and share PDF reports, we use your device's native sharing capabilities. You control where and with whom these reports are shared.

PDF Reports and Sharing

GlucoMate allows you to generate PDF reports of your glucose data. These reports are:

• Created locally on your device
• Only shared when you explicitly choose to share them
• Shared using your device's native sharing options (email, messaging apps, etc.)
• Never sent to us or stored on our servers

Important: Once you share a PDF report, it's subject to the privacy policies of the service you share it through (email, messaging app, cloud storage, etc.).

Third-Party Services

GlucoMate operates completely offline and does not integrate with any third-party services for:

• Analytics or tracking
• Advertising
• Cloud storage or backup
• Social media integration
• Payment processing (the app is free)

Children's Privacy

GlucoMate is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 without parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since all data is stored locally and we don't collect any information, parents can confidently help their children use the app to track glucose levels.

Data Security

While we don't collect your data, we take security seriously:

• Your data is protected by your device's security features (PIN, fingerprint, face unlock, etc.)
• Data is stored in a local database that's only accessible by the GlucoMate app
• We recommend keeping your device secure with a strong passcode
• Regular app updates may include security improvements

Your Rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: View all your data anytime through the app
• Modify: Edit any glucose reading or note
• Delete: Remove individual readings or clear all data
• Export: Generate PDF reports of your data
• Portability: Export your data in PDF format to share with healthcare providers

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.

GlucoMate is built with transparency in mind. If you're technically inclined, you can verify our privacy claims by reviewing the app's behavior and local storage implementation.
